El Tenanguito (The Little Tenango) is a purveyor of fine handmade embroidered textiles such as clothing, home and tech accessories, and personalized custom orders.

This bright multicolored embroidery art, commonly known in Mexico as “Tenangos”, comes from prehistoric wall paintings located in the Tenango Valley region of Hidalgo and symbolises man living in harmony with the natural environment. It is made by a group of native women from the Otomi-Tepehua region of Tenango.

El Tenanguito is committed to providing handmade Tenango artwork, clothing, jewelry, and accessories mixed with the modern design work of Vicente Saza through a partnership with the Ñahñuh Otomies. Their historic cultural designs are protected by Mexican and International law and this beautiful handcrafted artwork is guaranteed to always be a one-of-a-kind original.
